MUSIC enthusiasts and gospel lovers were treated to an unforgettable evening at the Celestial Chorus and Great God Tour, press launch at Hyde Park.
The event, a celebration of faith, unity, and musical excellence, was attended by renowned gospel artists including Lebo Sekgobela, Nontokozo Mkize, Dumi Mkokstad, and many more, underscoring the event’s significance in South Africa’s gospel music scene.
Powered by Dj Tira’s Afrotainment record label, the launch marked the highly anticipated second edition of the Celestial Chorus event in South Africa.
Set to take place on 21 March at Carnival City from 6pm, this year’s celebration promises to be a monumental experience, featuring performances of songs from Everton Mlalazi’s acclaimed Great God album, alongside a host of gospel favourites.
This year’s edition will feature a 100-piece symphonic band and an impressive lineup of gospel artists, including Everton Mlalazi, Dumi Mkokstad, Mthunzi Namba, Mmatema, Mpumi Mtsweni, Janet Manyowa, Canaan Nyathi, Rudo Madindi, and many others.
The event aims to uplift spirits and foster a sense of community through powerful music and spiritual celebration.
Thanks to the generosity of the Bridging Gaps Foundation, the event will be completely FREE to attend.
The foundation has taken care of all costs to ensure that as many people as possible can experience this divine celebration.

According to Tira, who loves and enjoys gospel music, says they look forward to the second edition of the Celestial Chorus Tour.
On the tour’s next phase, Tira confirmed he will be searching for raw talent nationally, to be part of this amazing platform, seeking new voices and fresher faces.
“Personally, I won’t and can’t drop a Gospel song; but identifying that talent is my task,” says ‘Makoya-bearing’, who also said looks forward to the forthcoming 2026 Metro FM Music Awards to be held in Durban, April 25.
