CELEBRATED radio presenter DJ Fresh finally barks at the door and Kaya 959 obliged.
He’s not called a big ‘dawg’ for nothing.
Thato Sikwane as we all know him has agreed to join the revamped and refreshed Kaya 959 line-up alongside his ‘brother’ and co-host another Thato Mataboge, and this morning July 1, it seemed they’ve never left the mic, though Fresh kept his velvet voice with another local/online radio station entertaining his loyal fans.
Other notable platforms he has amassed great respect includes Metro FM, YFM, 5FM and 947.
In keeping busy he also hosts the annual Oh Ship that happens end of November to December.
DJ Fresh is a gentle giant yet his body says the opposite and behind the mic, one can easily sum-up “the big dawg” as one of power voices in the country, who will be barking out some orders since they will be hosting the morning breakfast show- ‘Kaya Breakfast’ from 6am to 9am.
The pair’s entrance is part of Kaya’s refreshed line-up.
Programme Manager Maekanya Morotoba says the refreshed schedule gives shape to an important new chapter for the station: “The announcement of DJ Fresh was a major moment for Kaya 959, but it was also the start of a bigger story.”
Other notable changes feature former YOU FM’s Sweetness Motsepe who will host both Saturday Select and The Lounge Experience on Sunday.
