THE L-G who allegedly raped and groomed young girls’ identity has been revealed, and its none other than Shadrack Sibiya.
The suspended deputy police commissioner made his appearance today at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.
Initially he was charged for sexually grooming a minor and rape. At court it was also revealed he was charged for child trafficking- another serious charge.
The controversial L-G Sibiya allegedly sexually groomed a 16-year-old girl between July and August and raped an 18-year-old woman at a Sandton hotel in May.
He’s matter was postponed until 29 September for a bail hearing and will remain in custody at Kgosi Mampuru Correctional facility, it was confirmed by National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago.
The state opposed his bail.
This was informed that he could possibly intimidate witnesses and could also escape if held at a police station since he’s familiar with the environment.
The troubled Sibiya was arrested on Monday at a strip club by members of the Commission’s Recommendations Task Team.
Sibiya also faces more charges as per the announcement by a businessman who has accused him (Sibiya) of being a crook and a liar and ‘ready to expose him and collected R1m from a Pakistani to kill me.’
The agitated businessman Imran Bat -who attended the court hearing in Randburg- says he awaits confirmation from the Madlanga Commission to appear and will reveal what kind of a person is Sibiya, amongst others.
“I will expose the gangs Sibiya is working with such as the Chinese and other thugs, including other Generals involved,” says Bat.
He will appear in court on 29 September.

Meanwhile, the wife of in custody Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, Tsakane was arrested alongside three other suspects over suspected fraud charges, today.
Police confirmed the arrest stems from new fraud and corruption charges related to a controversial multi- million rand properties in Waterkloof, Pretoria.
They used false documents, including falsified bank statements to secure the rental agreement worth R95 000 lease.
The four will appear at the Pretoria Court on Wednesday.
