Benny in the area now a coach. Bucs could be his first assignment!

This follows acquiring his Uefa A-Licence this week, according to confirmed reports.

Coach Benny. This week former Bafana, Porto and Bucs striker Benny McCarthy completed his coaching classes.

The A-Licence is the second-highest coaching qualification in the world, after the Uefa Pro Licence.

The former Bafana striker (32 goals and 80 appearances) has been attending classes since 2014 in United Kingdom, is the third after Cape Town’s City Eric Tinkler and Bidvest Wits’ Gavin Hunt who only hold the A-Licences in SA.

In 2015 McCarthy, began his coaching career when he served as an assistant coach at Belgian side St Truiden. He left after just seven months when his head coach Chris O’Loughlin was axed.

Currently, the 39 year old is an analyst on SuperSport.

He has played for Seven Stars & Ajax (CT), Celta Vigo & Porto (Europe), Blackburn Rover and West Ham (England) & Orlando Pirates (SA).

Rumour-mill within the soccer fraternity is he might end up heading back to Bucs as head coach, that’s if the club’s chairman Dr Irvin” The Iron Duke” Khoza’s word is to be taken seriously.

Benny frequents England and SA.

Will he return to the music scene, as he did with TkZee, me thinks not.
