Orlando Stadium will be turned into a potpourri of relentless fans, music and superstars on Saturday, when the Mahikeng born rapper Cassper Nyovest, unleash his second thoughtful assignment: #fillupOrlando.
After successfully launching the ‘never heard of concept’#FillUpTheDome in 2015, the multi award winning born Refiloe Phoolo, takes over the 40 000 capacity seater Orlando Stadium, scheduled for October 29.
He will be supported by ‘on-and-off lover’ Boity Thulo (both originate from North West province) and a string of friends within the music industry.
Thulo wasted no time and took to social media on Thursday to announce she will be playing hostess for the event. Shweet!
“I’m very excited to be a part of such an amazing project,” says Boity on her involvement, “Fill Up Orlando Stadium is all about promoting social unity and inspiring the youth of South Africa to make them realize that no dream is too big to achieve.”
Boity who is a Sangoma, will be co-hosting with Somizi, Sizwe Dlomo and Siyabonga Ngwekazi.
The Motswako rapper once commented: “Filling up the Orlando Stadium may appear an unachievable task but I am confident we will fill the venue. A lot of hard work has gone into the preparation of this project but I am extremely excited and I’m really looking forward to delivering an outstanding show.”
Supporting acts include House DJs and Euphonik and DJ Fresh, as well as rap high rollers Riky Rick, Major League, Kwesta, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo, and many others.
However, it remains to be seen if, indeed, the stadium will be packed but, as the saying goes the show goes on…
