TOP lawyer to represent two of the five men appearing at Durban Magistrate Court today, in the murder of AKA and friend Tebello Motsoane.
Paul Jorgenson, the well-known lawyer in Durban, will represent the two, according to IOL, though its unclear who the two are.
The other two are still in eSwatini and await extradition processes.
Jorgenson is under instruction from attorney Sizwe Cele.
At court, the seven accused will appear for bail hearing.
The late AKA’s father Tony Forbes attended the hearing, appearing relaxed in black T-shirt and gingered hair.
Also, national police minister Bheki Cele also attended.
All of the five men are aged below 36.
The arrests follows extensive investigations led by KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, and Minister Cele.
The investigation revealed a well planned assassination, with spotters tracking Forbes from King Shaka International Airport to his hotel and subsequently to WISH restaurant where the shooting took place.
This chilling detail, along with the arrests made in eSwatini and the ongoing extradition process for two suspects, has shone the spotlight on the extensive network and planning behind the crime.
Hogging headlines is that one of a trio of alleged hitman brothers, Lindokuhle Ndimande, swiped his new Standard Bank card at the WISH restaurant while AKA was cutting his hair inside the salon.
