Joyous Celebration ready to conquer AFRICA!

THAT’S WHAT MTN Joyous Celebration is busy with as they spread their wings to the Continent in the year 2022, as they celebrate their 26-year milestone.

The ensemble begin their hectic tour in Middleburg, Mpumalanga at the Steve Tshwete Banquet Hall on Saturday, 25 June.

As part of their mandate, they’ve invited fans to be more than spectators by participating in the Share Your Light, campaign that will give a lucky gospel group or choir an opportunity of a lifetime.

Choirs and vocal groups (between 8 and 16 members) within the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality are encouraged to submit a performance video of no longer than 5 minutes to stand a chance to be chosen as the opening act for the Mpumalanga leg of the MTN Joyous Celebration tour.

Video submissions can be sent via WhatsApp Only to 063 911 0713.

“JOY is a theme that we want all South Africans to resonate with. After the difficult and devastating period, we experienced with the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to spread the message of JOY at the end of a very dark tunnel.

What better way to bring that to life than through the joyful music of the esteemed gospel band? We want South Africans and fellow Africans from across the continent to celebrate with us as we embark on this tour and appreciate the miracle of life,” says Pastor Jabu Hlongwane, co-founder of MTN Joyous Celebration.

The winning choir will showcase their talent on stage and share their musical light with South Africans!

JC also collaborated with the much celebrated Pastor TD Jakes choir five years ago.

Tickets for the Mpumalanga leg are now available from R280 at Webtickets and Pick n Pay outlets.

The Continental tour takes them to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Botswana, eSwatini, KwaZulu- Natal, Eastern Cape, and the North West between July and October 2022.

Ticket sales for the KwaZulu-Natal leg are now on sale.
