This was hinted by his coach at the Soweto Derby press conference on Thursday at FNB Stadium.
“Itu” picked up a knock on Wednesday following their 1-0 over Ajax Cape Town in the PSL clash, raising concerns that he may have been brought back into the team before healing permanently.
But Chiefs has reacted quickly and said he was “fit” to play on Saturday.
Although his teammate Briliant Khuzwayo, has been manning the posts in most of Chiefs games, when Khune was sidelined due to injury; coach Stuart Baxter has hinted Khune would be ideal considering his thick experience at derby matches.
Baxter says he will make the decision in “due course” regarding who will start but admits that, “Itu’s experience could be vital in the Derby”.
Is it a physchological game Baxter is playing, we wait?
Kick-off 15h30.
Meanwhile, Bucs who drew with Free State Stars on Wednesday evening, are poised to make a revenge on Saturday.
