Mabunda made these remarks during the awarding of a cool R10,000 towards the education of Khethiwe Munsa, a fourth-year Pschology student at University of Limpopo, Medunsa Campus, last week.
The winner entered Ligwalagwala fm’s competition called Vul’incondvo (open your mind) hosted by Sweetmike, whose significant importance seeks to financially aid tertiary students in the Mpumalanga Province.
The Pienaar born student, joyfully says: ”I am very happy for winning such a big amount; it will really help me pay for my studies. I had financial assistance last year, this year I was struggling financially but now I think I can be able to register for my Master’s Degree next year.”
According to the station manager, the competition encourages students to read books, newspapers and other sources of information to expand their knowledge. Contestants can only expect general knowledge questions during the competition.
Students from different tertiary institutions are welcomed to participate in the competition, however, before entering you must have already registered at a tertiary institution and don’t have existing financial aid or whatsoever.
The competition airs every Friday during the Midday Radio presented by Sweetmike from 12h00 till 14h30.
