The full of life ‘Mindlos’ as we addressed him passed-on after a lengthy battle with deteriorating health.
The memorial service was held in his honour on Thursday at the Dstv head-office Randburg.
Prior to opening his entertainment website Showbiz Zone, he cut his teeth in the industry with the Daily Sun and Sowetan, respectively.
At the Daily Sun, he was responsible for entertainment section and I used to contribute copies as a freelancer.
As a serial writer he also did publicity for an annual DJU- Southern Music Conference held in Durban- by the likes of Oskido, DJ Fresh, Vinnie Da Vinci and Greg Maloka.
Spokesperson for the family Bonginkosi Buthelezi said:”Mandla was a father to all, he was the overseer and provider for the family, looking after his late brother’s children. He was generous and loved everyone. He never wanted to be a burden to anyone.”
‘Sewelewele or Mtlamo’ are some of naughty shots we would take at each other when traveling to cover an event or just fooling around.
He lives a daughter and mother.
You shall be missed Mindlos.

The funeral will take place in KaNyamazane, Nelspruit- his home place from 7am.
