In comes the much awaited four-some old timers, who defy the age- the Mighty Manhattans.
Dressed in white suits- typical Angels- they took were Regina left off, and none of the fans were left seated as they sang along on every song belted out.
According to legendary Alston, the group has been together over 54 donkey years’ and still going strong. “I hope our South African musicians will take a leaf from them,” said a companion who was celebrating his birthday on the evening.
The legends perform at Teatro tonight Friday July 22 and sign off on Saturday 23 before heading to Cape Town’s Grand Arena on 24 July.
With South African’s having etched a special place in their heart’s, this calls for another star studded show back in mzansi by these legends, or kanjani?
