Nissan Micra Active- way too active on the road

Affordable. The all new Nissan Micra Active is priced according to your budget.

The facelift has done it some good favours, with that dowdy looking front end having undergone a complete redesign complete with sharper looking headlights and a new grille with Nissan’s ‘V’ motif, and while alterations are less subtle at the back, it does get new taillight innards and a sharper looking bumper.

As we took it for a test, we enjoyed the tranquility it comes with and the fact it’s a small car, is relevant for the market in this tough economical times.

The Nissan Micra Active has got all the basic bells and whistles that you’d want at this level, including an aircon, audio system with Bluetooth streaming capability, front electric windows, central locking, height-adjustable steering, dual front airbags and ABS and 7-inch touchscreen multimedia audio system.

The dashboard has been redesigned, with those round air vents making way for a square design, while the instrument cluster has been refreshed and the seats are upholstered in a new fabric.

The interior of Micra has been pepped up.

Fitted  with a 1.2-litre engine, the new Micra comes with a 3 year / 90 000km service plan and 6 year / 150 000km warranty and a variety of safety implements such as ABS, EBD and BA, remote central locking and airbags and it  delivers on peace of mind too. Shocked, don’t be?

It’s gonna be a stiff contest between Polo Vivo, Toyota Etios and others.

It is priced at R159 900.

Micra is a great value for money and still active- there I said it…

Verdict:

Performance (1-10) 5

Petrol (1-10) 5
