To augment their authority on delivering the best product in the market, a first South African reality TV show Holiday Swap KZN, will debut on SABC1 from 9 February at 6pm.
The 13 part show, swaps the participants’ dream holiday for a completely different experience. In each episode two teams of three friends compete in extraordinary holiday activities in order to win their dream holiday.
Both teams will be competing for points and the team with the most points after 3 episodes win a dream holiday to the Exceptional Zulu Kingdom, were it has been shot.
The KZN Tourism sponsored reality show, explores the green hills of Jozine, popular Durban beaches and majestic mountains in the Drakensberg, amongst others.
“The majority of South Africans have never experienced a holiday. Through Holiday SwapKZN, we believe that many people will see opportunities and activities that they never knew existed in KwaZulu-Natal. This show will attract new travellers to our beautiful province and also highlight some of our hidden gems that even seasoned travellers were previously unaware of.
The packages will give viewers a one-stop shop option, where all their needs are taken care of from transport to accommodation and activities,” says Ndabo Khoza, CE at KZN Tourism, who was at the Johannesburg media launch recently.
On offer for travellers will be a “travel now, pay later” or pre-payment packages made through the Thebe Travel Card, who’s CEO Thebe Tourism Group Jerry Mabena says it’s important to us as a company that we make travel affordable and accessible for everyone.
SABC 1 senior publicist Phillip Matome Mabitsela hinted the show will entice our young-market to start exploring the scenery and beauty of their own country.
Actress Nomzamo Mbatha, will host the show.
