Kgwale approached young single mothers and induced them to claim future loss of earnings for them and their children from males who were killed in MVA’s.
According to his plea in mitigation he did this to get money to send his daughter to University. His actions lead to these single mothers having criminal records against their names with dire consequences to their future endeavours.
Kgwale was sentenced to 6 years direct imprisonment.
Kgwale was convicted on 1 November 2012, Regional Court 6, Johannesburg.
