The legend was admitted to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, in Johannesburg, three weeks ago, with an undisclosed illness.
His distraught mother is understood to have been affected by the situation, although she did pour her heart out to the media on undisclosed illness of his son.
Unconfirmed reports are that he exhausted his medical aid at private hospitals, hence now at Maxeke hospital.
Moshoeu started his professional football career at Giant Blackpool before moving to Soweto giants, Chiefs in 1993.
He also spent many years in Turkey playing for teams like Genclerbirligi, Fenerbache and Bursaspor.
The Soweto born returned to Chiefs in 2003 and won back-to-back league titles.
So passionate about football, he coached the Alex team in then Vodacom league but terminated his relationship due to interference.
Lesiba also owns Shoes Moshoeu Holdings and was part of the 2010 World Cup McDonald’s Player Escort Programme.
Former 2010 McDonald head of marketing Nosipho Japhta, who worked with “Shoes” as an Ambassador, was unavailable to respond on his situation.
Having personally met and interviewed this legend on numerous occasions, I personally wish him a speedy recovery and a solution to his illness.
