This is the time were our sport heroes and ‘sheroes’ exchange their sweaty, worn-out attires for glitz and designer labels.
Having been postponed due to new Gauteng leadership installed after elections in May, its all system go now.
“I must say we’re rolling out the red carpet for our sport stars and ready to welcome them to this prestigious event in honour of their sporting excellence and putting our province on the map,” says MEC for Sport in GP Molebatsi Bopape.
She continued:”We encourage fans to take advantage of the extension for voting and own the awards by participating in voting for their favourite Sport Fan, Sport Personality and Sport Programme of the Year.”
The SMS line for voting is 33525 and voting will be stopped an hour before the awards ceremony that will be aired live.
Every SMS received will automatically enter voters into a random draw to win a car on the night of the awards. The results will be announced during the awards.
