You’re invited to hang out with Zwai, Kabelo at the 25th Anniversary of Halloween

SOUTH AFRICA’s iconic supergroup, TKZee announce the premiere of a podcast-style interview with host, Lesley Mofokeng which pays homage to the 25th Anniversary of Halloween and its undisputed impact on popular culture.

The video is set to premiere on TKZee’s YouTube channel, on Youth Day, June 16th 2024 at 10H00 SAST.

Zwai Bala of TKZee reflects on the timing and significance of sharing this celebratory album milestone piece with the rest of the world, stating “… as much as TKZee was a representation of the youth at the time, we can’t take for granted the contribution that those young people made to the struggle for freedom before us, and the opportunities the youth have today.

My hope is that the 25th Anniversary of Halloween will serve to document some of our experience while sending out a message of doing the work and being persistent about making that dream happen”.

In context, Halloween was released in 1998, four years into the dawn of democracy. The 25th Anniversary of Halloween is a conversation that allows for us to reflect on the context in which TKZee rose to prominence and crossed genres and age demographic to appeal to everyone.

Now, Zwai Bala, Kabelo Mabalane and Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala’s family want to share the 25th Anniversary of Halloween podcast with the rest of the world.
