WANNA GET up to what Strings & Bling is all about- be at Zone 6 tonight to find out.
Award winning rapper and one of South Africa’s loved ‘kid’ Nasty C will unveil his latest LP Strings & Bling at Zone 6, Diepkloof-Soweto on Friday evening August 3.
Since its release the album landed number-one on iTunes, it also trended as number one on Twitter that was followed by positive reviews from critics and media.
For the very time, Nasty C will be accompanied by a four-piece live band and psychedelic visual presentation to accompany the performance on stage.
“It’s something I’ve never done before. I’m even going in on visuals. If everything goes as planned this will probably be one of my best performances ever,” he was quoted.
“The reception I’ve received from fans about my new album has been amazing. Me and Drake have been fighting for the number one spot on the iTunes hip hop charts since the day of release,” boasted unashamedly Nasty C born- David Junior Ngcobo.
The ‘Bad Hair’ star also pointed out feverishly that “there was probably this little box that I had been kept in for so long, where I was mainly being compared to the other up-and-coming artists. I think I broke out of that box, though. People now compare me to other African rappers and stars. Before, it was just me, A-Reece and Emtee. That was the ceiling then.”
Since joining Universal Music it seems Nasty C has found a new lease of life, new dress code, etc…
According to his management guru pianist Alexis Faku will serve as the music director for the concert.
The supporting acts features best Hip Hop stars in the game Okmalumkoolkat, Real Tellaman, Gemini Major, Champagne69, J Molley and DJ ViGiLante.
It begins from 7pm until the following day.
