Overall SunSlots winner Jacqueline Johnston (M) congratulated with a cool R1,5m cheque by Sun City Slots Manager Mark Bricknell (L) and Mike Van Vuuren, Managing Exec Sun City, during presentation at Sun City.

SunSlots, that is open to Most Valued Guests Card Holders, began in March, with qualifying rounds taking place weekly at all participating casinos until the end of April.

Winner: Jacqueline Johnston from Durban, representing Sibaya Casino, won the overall tournament and pocketed a cool R1.5-million.

Gino Veludo from Polokwane, representing Meropa Casino, was the runner up in the R1000 Buy-In category and won R500 000, while Ivan Moodley from Brakpan, representing Carnival City, took third place, winning R200 000.

“The grand finale of SunSlots was an exciting culmination of weeks of exciting competition as the 90 finalists vied for the top positions.

The participating casinos featured GrandWest (Western Cape); Sun City (North West); Sibaya (KwaZulu-Natal); Boardwalk (Eastern Cape); Carnival City (Gauteng); Golden Valley (Western Cape); Wild Coast (Eastern Cape); Carousel (North West); Meropa (Limpopo);Windmill (Free State), and Morula (Gauteng).

The winner of the R100 Buy-In category was Carlene Gerber from Port Elizabeth, representing The Boardwalk Casino. She won a healthy R500 000. In second place was Neron Govender from Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal, representing Sibaya Casino. He won R150 000 and Marius Stoltz from Uitenhage, representing The Boardwalk Casino, came third and won R50 000.
