Oviaas brings life to taxi ranks! Win Lunch Bar hamper!

lunch-bar-1As part of its public awareness and continuation to market the new packaging, it turned attention to taxi ranks around Jozi and Soweto, respectively.

The activation included a wrapper collection campaigns and refurbishment in Alex, Randburg, Bara and Bree taxi ranks.

“We hope that the shop vendors and Bree commuters will benefit from this refurbishment and we thank them for their enthusiasm and support throughout the campaign.”

“The Cadbury Lunch Bar team is excited to give back to the Bree Taxi Rank,” says Grant van Niekerk, Mondelez SA Category Lead for Chocolate.

This activation encouraged commuters from each of these taxi ranks to take part in a loyalty program by collecting Lunch Bar wrappers in order to stand the chance to win instant prizes and the ultimate grand prize of a business starter kit worth over R200 000.

In a competition between the ranks, Bree Taxi rank collected the most wrappers during the campaign period and was awarded a rank refurbishment worth R100 000 which included shop signage, a newly renovated canteen area as well as various other supplies to assist the surrounding shop owners.

During the campaign, Cadbury Lunch Bar also partnered with various talented young entrepreneurs.

One such entrepreneur, Thamba Tabvuma from Replunch-barublic of Recycle, was tasked with upcycling the wrappers collected throughout the campaign to create a range of Lunch Bar branded parasol  umbrellas which have also been donated to Bree Taxi Rank.
