Walk in Center one stop shop for emerging businesses in Gauteng

Citizenry orientated. MEC Lebogang Maile opened the Walk in Center in Jhb CBD today.

This is part of the Ntirhisano outreach consultation programme.

The Centre offers a wide range of services including liquor licence applications; Small, Medium and Micro-sized Enterprises (SMMEs) and cooperatives financial and non-financial support; household food security and consumer related services; and environmental management.

Not only will the Walk-in Centre serve as a one-stop-shop that will see the people of the province access services and information in one place. The Centre will save the people of Gauteng the time and money that they would have spent going from one agency to the next in their quest for assistance and timely intervention.

Access to information and services empowers citizens and it is with this in mind that Government endeavours to take services directly to the people through initiatives such as Thusong Service Centres, Customer Care Centres, decentralised offices and mobile office services.

The following services will be accessible at the Walk-in-Centre:

* Gauteng Enterprise Propeller – financial and non-financial services to SMMEs and cooperatives.

*Gauteng Liquor Board – automated liquor license applications and compliance and regulation information.

*Office of Consumer Affairs – consumer protection and rights.

*Gauteng Tourism Authority – Gauteng’s tourist attraction destinations.

*Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development – farmer support, household food security, environmental management, environmental impact assessment, permits, exports and rural development.

The Walk-in-Centre is open for business Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 4pm.
