The concerts, which will combine captivating story-telling with vibrant music from the
seven-member group, will form part of the "old school" Freshlyground 10 Year Birthday
South African ‘Love No Hate’ tour.
The free concerts will take place from November 2 to December 3 with the following schedule:
November 13 – Soweto, Kliptown Community Hall
November 16 – Alexandra, East Bank Hall
November 19 – Bloemfontein (Botshabelo), Paradise Hall
November 24 – Port Elizabeth, Centenary Hall
December 2 – Cape Town, Gugulethu Sports Complex
December 3 – Sun City Superbowl
Nedbank will make between 500 to 2000 tickets available for each concert to its new and existing clients as well as to people who participate in its community based promotional activities as part of its commitment to community involvement.
“Freshlyground has been one of South Africa’s most successful and most
loved groups over the past decade and we are very pleased to be partnering with them and sponsoring these community concerts to celebrate their ten years together,” said Ciko Thomas, Nedbank’s Managing Executive of Consumer Banking, adding that Freshlyground’s lead singer, Zolani Mahola, has recently featured prominently in one of Nedbank’s television advertising campaigns.
