Well, we heeded the call from the Kingdom and what an experience. It never cease to amaze, folks.
Staying at Garden Court Marine Parade had two aspects.
Firstly, the reception of staff and cleaners is undeniable magnificent. Upon our arrival, one was warmly welcomed although you could see on their faces the fatigue they experienced as a result of the 13 Metro fm awards last weekend.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry was in town as faux pause to be seen with so called ‘schlebs’.
Albeit it’s impossible to know every member by name, it must be pointed out that they outdone themselves from our arrival until departure, which was extended due to unforeseen circumstances.
Well, let’s say the ambience of the city was responsible for what happened and of course, our lovely hosts. They deserve kudos!
Offering the famous hospitality that has put Dubs on the travel map, Garden Court Marine Parade is ideally positioned on the beautiful Golden Mile beachfront. It is here that you can experience one of South Africa’s top coastal cities, with the added benefit of a warm sub-tropical climate that makes travel a pleasure all-year round.
Business travellers, families, holidaymakers, honeymooners and all other visitors to the sunshine city of South Africa can enjoy a blend of comfort, high quality service and luxurious facilities along with excellent value accommodation.
The second aspect is the interior of their rooms of which I was unhappy with. With Tsogo Sun investing heavily on the expansion and remodeling of their properties countrywide, one would have expected better furniture, If I may use that tag.
To shorten the long story, they need a facelift, finish & klaar!
Boasting 346 fully-equipped rooms that are all fitted with tea and coffee stations, electronic safes, air-conditioning, free WiFi and 18-hour room service, guests can choose from a variety of room types.
These include Standard King or Double Rooms and Double Suites. Smoking and wheelchair accessible rooms can also be arranged on request. My only hope is that, perhaps the suites are more appealing.
As for the hotel itself, guests are treated to an array of excellent features. Conferencing and events facilities, hotel shuttle, SunCoast Spa, bicycle rental and self-service business facilities are just some of the features on offer.
The Garden Grill offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. An even more unique addition is a roof-top swimming pool (there was no time for that luxury) that allows you to enjoy panoramic views as you cool down.
But like I said when Kingdom calls heed the call and visit Garden Court Marine Parade for indulgence awaits you, so does General Manager Andre Greeff and Sarah Maistry.
The hotel itself is amazingly gorgeous. Amen!
