The latest Huawei Mate S harnesses the sense of touch!

Emotion is intrinsically linked to our senses and that is why Huawei has ensured their latest offerings speak to our most emotional human link.

New offering. The latest Huawei Mate S is now available in the market.

The Huawei Mate S launched in South Africa and this premium smartphone harnesses the sense of touch to ensure absolute functionality whether on the road keeping up with work or photographing your favourite designs as they prance past you on the runway.

The smartphone’s 5.5” AMOLED FHD display is cased in a full metal shell with side edges of only 2.6mm and an ergonomically crafted curved surface to ensure it cushions itself seamlessly into the palm of your hand.

The Mate S has found a way to utilise our strongest sense, that of touch, to take functionality and creativity to the next level. The phone’s key feature is the incredible Force Touch Technology, which allows you to easily facilitate different actions like zooming in when taking a photo or launching an app simply by applying a different level of pressure to the screen.

Touch is taken further with the introduction of Knuckle Sense 2.0, introduced in the Huawei P8 and now even better. Use Knuckle Sense to create your own original short codes on the screen.

Draw a letter and it correlates to a corresponding action. Drawing a c will open the camera while an e will open your Internet browser.

Fingerprint 2.0 is the upgrade on the offering originally found in the Mate 7. This single tap unlock functionality is now faster, more sensitive and brags self-learning functions which improves recognition by 100%. Fingerprint 2.0 not only unlocks your phone or secures banking payments but also now lets you control notifications, scroll through photos and even answer calls or take selfies.

Taking selfies or professional quality photos has never been easier. The Mate S has a 13MP rear camera with a four colour RGBW image sensor, optical image stabilisers, dual colour temperature LED flashlights and independent image signal processor camera units. The 8MP front camera has soft front lights and is easily controlled by the fingerprint sense technology. Every innovation has gone in to ensuring you simply need to touch a button and you are guaranteed crystal clear breath-taking images every time.

Available in Dual SIM or Dual 4G LTE, the Mate S is nestled in the palm of your hand ensuring it becomes an extension of you in every way. Features such as smart recording and wireless printing through Mopria General Protocol allow the Mate S to become more than just hand candy.

Its 2 hours of talk time after a 10-minute charge also means you’ll never be stood up.

“The Mate S is designed for the stylish and for the invincible. It is the ideal companion that will touch your life in such a way that you’ll never know how you got through a day without it,” says Charlene Munilall, General Manager, Huawei Consumer Business Group, South Africa.

Inspired by the gentle curve and sleek lines of a musical score, the Huawei MediaPad M2 is able to produce a glorious medley not only for your ears but also for your eyes.

Recommended retail prices for the devices are R11 000 for the smartphone and R5 999 for the tablet.

Huawei Watch prices will be announced later this year.
