Bra Shakes' now we need your juju!

Let’s forget about whether SAFA gave coach Shakes Mashaba a mandate or not. The truth is we had to to compete and unfortunately, we’re faced with a dilemma of permutations and favours.

Football, yes, at times works that way but with our boys it’s a heart-stroke predicament.

Tonight at Estadio de Mongomo, they face the Ghananian side to ascertain whether (we) proceed to the Quarters or begin packing bags for home.

It’s a dire situation our boys have put themselves into; and now they have to fight until the last end by scoring three-goals past ‘The Black Stars’ to advance to the elimination stages. Believe me it won’t be an easy task.

The Ghananians are not ‘robots’a famous cliche used often by our South African sport minister Fikile “Razzmatazz” Mbalula, who is in EG to lend support to our side. And they will take the fight to Bafana.

Mashaba and his technical team, have made four changes prior to the game. Chiefs goal-minder Brilliant Khuzwayo and teammate Bernard Parker, Rivaldo Coetzee and Bongani Ndulula, will be in the first starting XI.

Thulani “Tyson” Hlatshwayo, had a concussion in the game against Senegal. So he is ruled out of the game on Tuesday.

This on paper, tells Mashaba means business but what matters most is on the field. If, and only if, we bury our chances, convert three important or more goals past Ghana, history will repeat itself because ‘The Black Stars’ have not beaten Bafana in any competitive competitions.

Bra “Mshege” now we need your juju to work its magic tonight, asseblief tog…

Yes, it was unrealistic to expect Bafana to win Afcon.

In another fierce battle, Senegal face Algeria to complete the Group C matches.

All the games kick-off at 8pm.

Permutations:

If Bafana Bafana lose or draw against Ghana, they will be knocked out.

If Algeria draw against Senegal and Bafana Bafana win, both sides will be left on four points but Algeria will progress, along with Senegal, due to their superior head to head record with South Africa.

If Algeria beat Senegal and Bafana Bafana beat Ghana, then it will come down to goal difference to separate Bafana Bafana and Senegal.
