South Africa is a nation renowned for our sense of humour, using it to laugh off our challenges and stresses.
Aromat and Egg are on a mission to liberate SA through laughter, bringing a light-hearted perspective to all South Africans, which is why Aromat has entered into a groundbreaking partnership with a local comedy show to launch the Aromat Loxion Comedy Series.
It features a unique line-up of fabulously funny comic talent with a lekker local flavour.
The Comedy Series is aimed at showcasing the best that South Africa has to offer when it comes to wise-cracking wit, sparkling satire, side-splitting slapstick and hilarious observations about daily life in the beloved country.
Along with established comedy heavyweights Felix Hlophe, Tall-A$$ Mo and Skhumba Hlophe the events will give up-and-coming comedians a platform to share the smiles and get their name out there. In Soweto, the sizzling line-up will feature Celeste Ntuli, Jay Boogie, Smokey Nyembe and many more alongside the three headline acts.
The exuberant and streetwise Tall-A$$ Mo doesn’t pull his punchlines, while radio host and established industry headline act Felix Hlophe will have the audience in stitches. Former class joker Celeste Ntuli is proving that women can own the stage when it comes to comedy, having travelled the country performing in many comedy shows, as well as appearing in numerous TV shows, including her leading role in Isibaya on Mzansi Magic.
Last but not least, watch out for the guests of honour, Aromat & Egg – the ambassadors of the Comedy Series who will be leading the happiness revolution with their zesty sense of humour.
“This is a comedy show with a difference”, Jabulile Mthethwa, Aromat Marketing Manager, explains. “We wanted to get real, get local and get people laughing. Our focus is on having an authentic SA essence and getting people up close and personal with our handpicked selection of fantastic comedians.”
The Comedy Series takes place at Jabulani-Soweto, Soweto Theatre from 7pm on June 6.
