MEC Lebogang Maile, announced 13 of the 14 categories for the Sport Awards, including the Sport Personality of the Year category, which will be voted for by the public.
The panel included Patience Shikwambana – General Manager Operations and National Federations Support at SASCOC, Sowetan Senior Sport Writer Ramatsiyi Moholoa, Barry Hendricks – President of the Gauteng Sport Council, Size Vardha – Director Sports Buro at the Wits University and the panel chairperson Professor Denver Hendricks who is the Director of Community Engagement at the University of Pretoria.
