I’m too old and ugly, honestly, says Baxter. Win tickets

Pressure is mounting. Beleaguered Bafana coach Stuart Baxter says he’s not worried about people’s perception on him.

Coach Baxter is preparing his team Bafana Bafana ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso at FNB Stadium on Saturday. The Burkinaibe lead the log standing.

The game kicks-off at 15h00.

This follows back-to-back 2-1 losses against Cape Verde, that got the ire from fans, asking if he’s still got the ‘nerve of steel’ to lead Bafana to Russia next year?

However, the 64 year old says nothing can distract him from his mandate.

The team has been plagued by withdrawals due to injuries from BidVest Wits and Bafana skipper Thulani “Tyson” Hlatshwayo to doubtful starter Andile Jali, amongst others.

Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho has been handed a hefty fine and suspended for one international game following his unsporting tackle on Cape Verde player.

To compound discipline matters in the team some players’ partied the night away after the second loss in Durban against Verde, as a result Baxter has issued a complete new code of conduct.

“There’s a complete new code of conduct and the players will receive that. It’s not completely new to them, but it will be a much more extensive one,” he was quoted.

At the time of publishing it was unconfirmed when would Burkina Faso be landing?
