The event forms of part of the country’s build-up to the Youth Day on June 16.
MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and Klipdrift are bringing Soweto to life in an epic music showdown of South Africa’s most prominent talent, as the latest edition of the MTV Base & Klipdrift Golden Beats Kasi Street Bash rolls into Gauteng.
Celebrating the “golden” musical legacy and unique artistic culture of different South African “hoods”, the MTV Base & Klipdrift Golden Beats Kasi Street Bash hits the vibrant “kasi” of Soweto on 13 June at Walter Sisulu Square, Kliptown.
Killer performances and an amazing “street” vibe will be the order of the day. Lighting up the stage will be Kabelo Bouga Luv, Pro, Kwesta, KO and Black Motion, while DJ Kent, DJ Euphonik and DJ Vigilante will be holding it down on the 1’s and 2’s until the early hours of the morning. Bringing it all together will be MTV Base VJs and emcees, Nomuzi and Sandile.
Ticket cost R50 at the door.
It begins from 6:30pm.
