MFR Souls new EP ‘The Beginning’ reaches 1million viewership

Such havoc that MFR Souls (Maero, Force Reloaded) the duo from Katlehong who are partly responsible for this new breath of life.

Born Tumelo Mabe and Tumelo Nedondwe, the duo are famously for having crafted and imprinted the AmaPiano genre alongside the likes of Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, DJ Sumbody, etc…

Talk of the celebrated Maphorisa, he’s behind the duos new offering EP ‘The Beginning’ that was launched last week at a media listening session in Parktown.

To show MFR Souls credibility the new EP has reached a staggering 1million viewership in trending, a fact that was confirmed by ‘happy chappy’ Tumelo, today.

Asked on the controversial question lingering on every South African’s lip- who started AmaPiano, Tumelo- did not mince any words or clutter some straws by outrightly indicating its “US as MFR Souls,” there you have it folks!  

Signed under Sony SA, the cool and calm duo are also known for having produced hits such as Amantombazane (Samthing Soweto), AmaDM (Samthing Soweto) and their hit single Love You Tonight featuring DJ Maphorisa, Sha Sha and Kabza De Small.

South Africans have been debating on the origins of Amapiano since it’s huge breakout last year. Die hard listeners and fans insist that it is a movement on it’s own.


However, to most people, AmaPiano is just an upgrade of Deep House. Some even define it as a genre of music that utilizes the elements of Deep house and gqom.

Look depending which side of the fence one is seated- AmaPiano is here to stay and cause a havoc.

Its no wonder at SAMAs it has its own category.

But as for MFR Souls, they will forever be grateful for being afforded an opportunity to display their God-given talent and remain humble as possible despite frog-marching all the way to the bank!
