New ‘sheriff’ in town at CSA

PHOLETSI MOSEKI is the new Cricket SA boss.

He takes over from the controversial Thabang Moroe, who left with a cloud hovering over his head.

CSA has since been on a hunt for ‘well thought’ and experienced administrator and the name of Moseki was punted as ideal candidate.

The federation’s board “unanimously” approved the recommendation from CSA’s relevant search panel.

Moseki joined CSA in 2019 and never looked back since.

“Pholetsi has displayed extraordinary dedication and commitment since he joined the CSA family in 2019. He has been the key link in the leadership chain at CSA, especially during challenging periods. He has played a key role in getting the organisation moving in the right direction,” said CSA chairperson Lawson Naidoo.

“The Board also wishes to thank the CEO Recruitment Panel for its thoroughness in ensuring we achieved this positive outcome.”

Moseki’s term will run for five years.

CSA continues to be in the news for wrong reasons, albeit off the boardrooms, both the male and female teams are doing brilliantly on their respective international assignments.

For Moseki, he’ll have to steer the organisation on the right path to match the performance by the players.
