RedSquare dance competition increase purse!

SFT, won the 2015 competition but the road was rough and muddy as soles burnt the dance floor!

Kung-Fu styled. Soulistic Fusion Trio from Soweto, will defend their title during the 2016 RedSquare Dance Competition.

“Participating crews and individuals will be expected to express genuine emotion and feelings while displaying hard work, commitment and discipline as far as their craft is concerned,” says Victor Sealelo, RedSquare Marketing Manager, at the media launch-Groove Lounge in Pretoria that was packed to raptures.

This years’ first prize has been elevated to a cool R60 000, second R10 000 and third R5000 cash to either an individual or group.
A total of thirty auditions will take place from 17 March until 7 May, in and around Gauteng namely Ekurhuleni, Emfuleni (Vaal), Soweto and Tshwane.

According to Selaelo, Soulistic Fusion Trio has, after winning the RedSquare Dance Competition, gone on to perform outside the country and are making their indelible mark for themselves.

“This simply means this years’ competition is gonna be tougher and more stringent. We give you the platform and lights thereafter it’s up to you shine,” says the muscled Selaelo.

The 2016 RedSquare Dance Competition’s battles will be characterized, on and off stage, by great enthusiasm and discipline.

As part of the company’s Social Development Programme -RedSquare through their mother company Halewood International –also hosts the annual DJ Knockout competition to deserving and aspiring local DJs, whom some are household brands locally and internationally.
