Talks on elections take center stage at the sprawling Maslow Hotel

THE only thing I enjoyed at the Maslow Hotel is hospitality.

After-all that’s what sells at any hospitality venue, be it local or international.

Perched at the hustling and bustling Sandton business district, Maslow Hotel- part of Sun International, was abuzz with international tourists on the eve of National Elections recently.

As a result, had a brief encounter with one of the airhostesses who was seated at the Lacuna Bistro Bar with her colleagues, who enquired “what do you think will happen after such hotly contested elections?”

“Simple”, I uttered, “there will be changes as a result of voters now taking charge and demanding better and improved services but, not violence or resurrection,” and her face calmed down, eyes popping out, as if she was expecting the opposite and continued puffing her white-stick.

Talk of Lacuna, it is ideal venue for after-work drinks, with a selection of tapas and light meals to enjoy over a glass of wine, beer or cocktail.

Executive Chef Ofentse Morake, always prepares seasonal dishes for the order of the day, and one expect modern Mediterranean cuisine, amongst others.

Maslow Hotel boast 281-room that caters for tourists and business travellers to South Africa, ideal for drinks after work, romantic dinners, or to host weddings, conferences and events.

With state-of-the-art technology, the four-star hotel satisfies every business traveller’s need from the productive Wayfarer business lounge, to physical and virtual conferencing facilities, Wi-Fi and a top-end luxury spa to massage away the stresses of the day.

The hotel’s proximity to the Gautrain’s fast-track to OR Tambo International Airport makes it ideal for travellers.

Its unique selling points include plentiful parking and it is the only hotel in Sandton that has a private natural garden.

Guests can step outside into a peaceful green space with established trees, lawn and a beautiful pool deck. Although the hotel is in a suburban environment, there is a sense of open space in which visitors can relax – either in the gardens or overlooking them from the pool, or on the Lacuna Bistro and Bar deck.

It celebrated 10 years in operation recently, as a result it had a revamp to ensure décor remains on trend and that every possible executive need, from power sockets to recharge mobile phones and laptops to facilities for video conferencing calls, is catered to.

The Maslow Hotel is located in Africa’s richest business node, and this fundamental area for urban tourist destination.

As part of added value for guests, the hotel provide services in the form of chauffeur drop and pick-up in and around Sandton area ONLY.

Yearning for best hospitality- Maslow is only a click away!
