Tapestry. Justin Bonello, the host of the popular and internationally renowned show Ultimate Braai Master, says the launch of series 4 has opened doors globally.

Because he loves his country, its people, the tapestry and above all, cooking outdoors.

Famously revered for his award winning Ultimate Braai Master show on SABC, Bonello told media who took time off their schedule to attend the launch at Moyo’s Restaurant at the Johannesburg Zoo that, if there’s one thing he will never replace is his country.

“I’m in love with my country for many a reasons such as tapestry, cooking outdoors and the interaction with all races- be it on my show or anywhere else,” he enthused at the celebration of airing series 4 on Travel Channel (Dstv Channel).

He has travelled all corners of the country, at famous parks, dined at popular lodges and shared a ‘cold one’ at world class game reserves, thanks to partnership with Kruger National Park.

“SA has the best destinations that need to be explored,” opined Bonello.

According to him, the show has grown by lips and bounds in that the international market has asked for its exclusive rights for production that will only be shot in SA.

“We produce the best content ever, because that’s what sells and the fact that our viewership keeps increasing internationally.”

Asked what next for him, the unassuming lad, dressed in sandals, both khakhi trousers and T-shirt politely uttered that:”Braai Master is a trademark but I want to focus on other projects and live life,” without divulging too much details on the projects.

Internationally celebrated Chef Benny Masekwameng- the Alexandra born- has been confirmed as the replacement for the new series airing from March 29.

As one journo remarked “I’m like a tourist in my country.”

Catch Bonello and his participants as they try to out-muscle each other on Channel 179.
