Will Leopards surprise Bucs tonight?

With teams having bolstered their respective departments, it will only boil to one thing: will those players’ come to the party, and match the huge signing fee tag?

Tonight all 16 PSL teams will do battle, and what would be most important particularly from the players’ fitness level, is who will bag the maximum points considering this is the last quarter of the season?

By far Orlando Pirates, who will be contesting the African Champs league, made headlines having secured huge signees as part of bolstering their squad. Their first assignment is up against the Angolan side this week.

On the domestic side,’ The Bucs’ open their PSL account against the ‘hard to please’ Black Leopards at the “slaughter house” Orlando Stadium. It kicks off at 19:70.

Variably, these two side sides are incomparable, if you are to believe my sentiment!

Firstly, Pirates have an upper hand since this is their home game. Secondly, they boast well paid stars and big international names on their sheet. Notably, former Wits prolific player Sifiso Myeni signing has been regarded as the ‘catch of the season’ having been scouted by other top sides.

As for Leopards, for starters they can turn the tables when under pressure, however, that has been to their detrimental.

The contentious issue of Tso Vilakazi should be laid to rest for the sake of the team. He was punted as the character that could turn things at the team; alas that was not to be. Various reports on his performance and health instead stole the limelight. All for the wrong reasons.

Mr Thidiela and his ilk should wake up and smell the coffee soon, because they could find themselves back in the ‘dungeon’.

Amen!
