PERCHED in one of the worlds’ most visited cities- Cape Town (CBD) the Radisson Hotel Cape Town Foreshore, surely has your back!
Upon visiting this five-star rated hotel, as a guest, one is welcomed by the hospitality signature from the staff, mostly young, that brushes off to the General Manager for PR and Marketing- Kelly Du Plessis, astoundingly gorgeous herself, dressed in cool but authoritative attire, made sure my stay was pleasurable.
Boasting 132 modern rooms and Studio Apartments with views of the city skyline, one of their selling points, considering the large number of international tourists, it also hit me, the establishment is close to one of the leading global points- the vibrant V&A Waterfront that is always teeming with local and international visitors, so is the Cape Town International Convention Center- which can be accessed by foot.
Posed to Du Plessis what sells the hotel from its competitors, she glowingly alluded that Radisson Hotel Cape Town Foreshore is a contemporary, internationally branded hotel located in the heart of Cape Town’s Central Business District (Foreshore precinct).
“It is designed for the modern traveller who moves between business, leisure, and lifestyle – offering comfort, efficiency and a seamless connection to the city,” she pointed out.
The hotel also provides a shuttle to and from airport, most establishments do not cater for such service.
Other key selling points, she indicated, were that guests love to dine at the Italian-inspired Filini restaurant at the ELVN11 Rooftop (which I visited in the evening).
“They also sing praises on our modern rooms that face both the harbour and Table Mountain. Its’ therapeutic for them,” she boasted.
It was no coincidence that the inhouse-gym was located on the floor I was staying- arm-length from my door, that meant I had to use it every morning- though I enjoyed workouts in the afternoon.

What also caught my attention was the most talked about brand new Sauna, which I used to calm my nerves and body sweat (I deflowered it, in the sense I was the first guest to waltz into) which is now open to guests, it was confirmed.
Other Wellness- facilities include Ice-Bath, it felt surreal dipping my body into.

On international guests, Du Plessis quipped that the hotel serves a diverse mix of international travellers (UK, Europe, USA, Middle East), African regional business travellers, and Domestic South African corporate and leisure guests.
This, she describes, ‘reflects Cape Town’s evolution into a dynamic city where business, leisure, and lifestyle travel intersect’.
