Hansa Dreamers music show brings house and kwaito under one roof in Soweto!

The 12-hour non-stop music blitz goes on at Ubuntu Kraal, Soweto on May 10, four-days after National Elections. It starts from 12pm until late.  Kalawa records spear-headed by local genius such as Oskido, Bruce, Spikiri and others, were recently honoured by the South African Music Awards committee for their role in the emancipation and development of local music in the country for over 20 year’s. Kalawa stands for – Laka/Mdlongwa and Jazmee (Jairus, Zynee, Mandla, Eugene and Emmanuel). Oskido once declared “we’ve been overlooked by the SAMA’s” which prompted a national cry from the country. The event in Soweto sees kwaito and house under one roof fused together! The lipsmacking line-up features Kalawa’s own: Nokwazi, Busiswa, Alaska, Heavy K, AB Crazy, Winnie Khumalo, Brickz, Spikiri, Sphectacula / DJ Naves, Uhuru, Lulo Café, Ismail Abrahams, Professor/Character, DJ Zinhle, Dr Malinga, Trompies, Black Motion, Thebe, Oskido and Mahoota vs Dj Vetkuk. Nokwazi, Busiswa, Alaska, Thebe and Oskido complete the gig. “The line-up embraces artists that have been shaking up the local music industry for the past 20 years,” said Kelebogile Mashigo, Hansa Pilsener’s Marketing Manager. “Hansa is the beer that celebrates those who dare to dream, and, by using these small businesses to host a large event, we hope to encourage people to believe in themselves and to strive to build their own great future,” said Mashigo. Hansa Dreamers TV Ad familiar faces Hlogi Makau, Caprivi Lounge, Ruan Vermeulen and Robert Nicholls from Fury Custom Bikes, Vusi Kunene -The Blackanese sushi restaurant and Sowetan Kgomotso Pooe -Soweto Outdoor Adventures will have their own lounges for hosting guests. One lucky concert-goer will win a custom motorcycle from Cape Town’s Fury Custom Bikes at the event. Tickets are available on pre-sale from R100 at Computicket and R120 at the door!
